On November 9, 2020, Aperture, in collaboration with the photography program at Parsons School of Design at The New School, presented an artist talk with Maria Antelman.
Maria Antelman is a visual artist whose work explores the relationship between technology and the human condition. Inspired by new and old technologies, Antelman addresses our society’s dependence on technology, and the way humans adapt to meet the needs of the digital landscape. In this artist talk, Antelman speaks about her practice and her work featured in the online exhibition Companion Pieces: New Photography 2020 at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
